Today we are talking about a wedding venue that will absolutely make you swoon; the Swan House. We’ve all been watching Bridgerton at this point right? Well, this wedding venue is going to make you feel like you’re the Duchess marrying the Duke IRL! The Swan House is a historic place that is a romantic wedding lover’s dream. Let’s dive into my top 3 reasons to get married here!
1. History
You may or may not be a history buff, but anyone can appreciate the history that comes with the Swan House! This home was built in 1928 making it almost 100 years old. You can see the vintage architectural touches all over the property with the grand outdoor staircase, cascading water fountain, and columns. The Swan House Gardens is where the actual wedding ceremony and reception can take place but guests are able to tour the inside of Swan House during your reception!
2. Elegance
I mentioned Bridgerton above right? Because that will give you a great visual of the elegance that Swan House brings. Not only will you have the backdrop of the historic beauty of the Swan House for your wedding photos but you also have the Swan House Gardens! This venue offers the grandness that classic and elegant weddings often have. The large staircase lets you make a truly unique entrance to your ceremony, the home itself lends to elegance with the vintage look and structure, and an outdoor reception in the gardens with market lights and classic table settings is the cherry on top of this sundae. If you are a bride or groom who has a flair for the finer things in life and imagines walking down the aisle to violins, you’ll be able to achieve that elegant feel at Swan House.
3. Romance
Weddings are often romantic of course, but Swan House is a venue that will truly bring the romance. The name alone is romantic, am I right? With the trees that overlook the house, the antique cars, and the privacy of the property you’ll feel like you stepped back into an early 1900 romance novel. A fairytale wedding is what comes to mind when I think of Swan House. And what better way to start your marriage than with a romantic fairytale all your own?
These are just a few reasons I wanted to to mention when thinking about hosting your wedding at Swan House. If you have any questions about the property you can visit the Atlanta History Center website. I have photographed at this location and would love to answer any photography related questions that you may have about Swan House! Contact me today and let’s start planning your dream wedding!
