This session was hands down the most perfect Atlanta engagement.
You guys are going to love this engagement session as much as I do! Haley and Nick reached out to me a few months after I had photographed Haley’s brother’s wedding. She wanted to get engagement photos done and after she reached out, she realized that she had chosen an all inclusive venue where I am actually the photographer! We met and I was so happy to hear that she wanted me to be their wedding photographer.
When we talked about their engagement session, they told me that they love Atlanta and really wanted to capture the city in their photos. I was so excited to bring that vision to life for them! We started our session at Bridge Winn Park. Haley chose a classic white sundress with nude heels and Nick was in a charcoal gray suit. Their colors coordinated so well the entire session and really allowed them to shine in their photos! I loved this area. It absolutely delivered the city vibe these two were looking for, but within a gorgeous park. With the walkways, staircases, and benches it still very much felt like we were in a city, but maintained the natural and elegant vibe of a park!
At engagement sessions I am always thinking about your Save the Dates, framed photos in your home, and photos to display on your wedding day! So, it’s SUPER important to me that you get a variety of backgrounds, orientations, and poses.
After the park it was time for an outfit change! Haley changed into a beautiful pink and orange halter dress and Nick slipped his jacket off to showcase his white button up shirt. This is the perfect example of how well a print and a color can photograph together! The colors suited Haley perfectly, and Nick’s look was clean and simple. Haley’s outfit didn’t overpower Nick’s and his outfit complimented hers.
Now for my favorite part… the classic skyline photos.
I was so excited for this part of their engagement session, because I know that Haley and Nick wanted these timeless city photos! We had perfect, glowy evening light and were really able to capture the feeling that they wanted out of their photos.
It was so much fun running around Atlanta with these two. I always recommend doing an engagement session before your wedding day, because it allows you to get comfortable in front of the camera, learn what poses and styles your like, and get to know me! Haley and Nick, I can’t wait for your wedding day!
