This Georgia garden wedding was straight out of a fairy tale! With unique dresses, romantic florals, and a pair of high school sweethearts, I was in heaven with Madison and Zach’s wedding! The venue location that they chose truly made it feel like we were in a story book garden wedding. The architecture that surrounded them, paired with the natural garden elements and all of the details that they chose for their wedding day, mixed beautifully together.
Let’s back up to our bride and groom first! These two are high school sweethearts from Georgia. However, they headed up to Illinois right before their wedding for Zach to finish his studies. I was second shooting a wedding with my friend and Madison was the videographer. That’s how we met! We worked together on two other weddings and during that time she reached out to me and asked me to be her wedding photographer, and of course I said yes!
“After working with Darian at a few weddings, I knew I wanted her to capture our wedding!” said Madison. “She was the first vendor I picked, and I am so thankful she was a part of our day. She creates such beautiful work and is truly so passionate about what she does.”
Madison wanted garden vibes for her wedding and the entire day met those expectations. She chose a blush color palette to compliment her garden vibes. Madison wore a stunning wedding dress that was so unique! I was in love with the bow details on the shoulders. Her bridesmaids mismatched blush dresses that compliment each other so well.
We started the morning with detail photos and getting Madison ready before her first look with her bridesmaids! There are so many types of first looks that you can do but the one with your girls is always a fun one. They get you so hyped up and give you all the confidence and energy that you need (and deserve) on your wedding day!
After her first look with her girls, we got ready for her first look with Zach. We decided to do it on a cobblestone path in the middle of the garden and it was honestly just amazing. It was the perfect spot for them to see each other for the first time and share their private vows together. After they shared their vows, we took their portraits together, which is always my favorite part of the day! They were naturals in front of the camera and I had so much fun letting them enjoy their time, while capturing it naturally. Letting my clients actually soak in their wedding day and enjoy this moment that they’ve planned so long for, is incredibly important to me. I love capturing the day as it plays out organically and that leads to portraits that I believe will truly stand the test of time.
Then it was time to get married! They had a beautiful garden ceremony. They got married centered beneath some amazing architecture with massive floral arrangements on either side of them, that lended to that garden wedding vibe. After they said their “I Do’s” it was reception time! Can we take a moment to stare longingly at their gorgeous wedding cake? It looked like a painting! They had so many beautiful details.
I love seeing what other wedding vendors select for their own weddings because we all see so many unique and different things at all of the weddings we attend! One of the details that had my heart was the Coffee Camper that they had at the reception! Guests could pick from the specialty menu they designed including the Tuxedo and Blushing Bride. They ended the night with a sparkler exit and drove off in their “Just Married” vehicle! I absolutely loved photographing their wedding and I wish you both a lifetime of love!
“When we received our full gallery, I was blown away! I knew she was an amazing photographer already, but she never ceases to amaze me! I cannot recommend Darian enough!” -Madison
